The “Eye” bridge launched in June 2013 is a pedestrian bridge built immediately next to the Stone Bridge connecting the quay with the Archaeological Museum and the Constitutional Court.

Two years later the media raised issues about the bridge after evidence showed the marble railings had cracked. Prior to that, while it was being built, its foundations flooded. Experts have indicated serious technical shortcomings and deficiencies in the design of the bridge, warning that its statics could be compromised in future.
