The memorial to the First Assembly of ASNOM —the Anti-fascist Assembly for the National Liberation of Macedonia— was erected in March 2012 in the “Woman Fighter” park across the street from parliament.
The bronze structure consists of 10 sculptures, three of which are in a sitting position, 3.20 metres high, whilst seven are standing up, at a height of 4 metres. The people represented the delegates of ASNOM, also regarded as the first parliament of the Post WWII Republic of Macedonia. Namely, the individuals represented are Bane Andreev, Metodija Andonov – Cento, Mihajlo Apostolski, Kiril Petrusev, Emanuel Cuckov, Panko Brashnarov, Tihomir Milosevski and Todor Stojanov – Dzvezdin, Kiro Gligorov and Veselinka Malinska.
The sculptures are positioned on a postament encased in stone enveloped with 10 bronze reliefs. The front features reliefs from the Prohor Pcinski monastery, where the assembly took place. One plaque has the words “ASNOM 1944”, and the other reliefs represent events at the assembly in the monastery and around it.
