There are 29 sculptures of writers, composers and artists placed on the Art Bridge, some 80 metres long.
55 conceptual designs by 24 authors were submitted in the competition for the sculptures. Proposals by 18 authors were selected, some of whom authored two or three sculptures. According to the contract with Centar Municipality they received 11,000 euro per statue. This includes the author’s fee, costs of staff hired to produce the sculptures, costs for procurement, transport, preparation and processing of materials and other costs.
These sculptures have been a subject of public criticism in terms of their artistic value.
