The “Holy Mother of God” Square lies between the church which bares the same name, the “Philip II of Macedonia” and “Krste Petkov Misirkov” boulevards.
When power changed after the local elections in 2013, the City of Skopje took over the final stages of the square. There are three fountains on the square in the middle of which are pillars encased in marble reliefs which support the statues of the Mother of God, St Nicholas and Sts Peter and Paul. They were placed there in the first stage of the construction in August 2013.
